3iVMS uses satellite systems interfaced with transponder to track vessel location through GPS from Inmarsat C, D+ and IsatM2M networks. 3i –Vessel RPM & Fuel Monitoring System

3i-Vessel RPM & Fuel Monitoring System is the latest addition to our value-added suite of cutting-edge solutions available to vessel and fleet managers. This advanced system provides useful analytic data, which helps companies save time and operational cost. By automating the system, it reduces human interferences and thus increasing accuracy. The primary components used are Flow-meter Sensors with an accuracy level as high as 99%. These sensors are used as an array to monitor the total fuel used that flows into the sensors-installed engine, and also calculate the unused fuel that flows back through the return lines. This will give the actual reading of the amount of usage on the vessel’s main engine.

With this in place, the rest of the work is done within the 3iVMS system including the calculations of the fuel usage while the vessel is on voyage, thus reducing the need for the vessel operators to be physically present to curb pilfering of fuel. This system will send REAL-TIME DATA to operators and vessel managers via a satellite transceiver installed on the vessel. The information can be viewed anywhere, anytime via our 3iVMS (Vessel Monitoring System) application. Therefore, the fuel consumption levels of the vessel can be easily access without much hassle!

Together with the fuel consumption, the engine RPM is shown simultaneously and integrated with the 3iVMS system displaying throttle data of the engine.

All these data can also be stored on the client’s PC with minimal hard disk space required. These data can also be exported out easily onto other file format such as Microsoft Office Excel so that comparisons can be made easily.

Overview
The 3i-Vessel RPM & Fuel monitoring system is largely similar to the standard 3i-VMS. It can be used as a stand-alone system or an “add-on” feature to the 3i-VMS, which includes RPM and Fuel Monitoring functions. This data gives vessel owners accurate and reliable knowledge of fuel consumption on a timely basis. It can be archived in the client’s computer or other storage medium for daily, weekly, fortnightly and monthly updates on how much fuel is being consumed.

3i-VMS enables vessel owners to monitor their vessels when they are unable to personally do so. The 3i-Vessel RPM & Fuel monitoring system will come with all the necessary components to allow clients to track fuel consumption as well as RPM readings.

In partnership with Singtel Satellite Division, 3i Technologies is able to provide CCTV monitoring system onboard vessels with Martime VSAT. Singtel Maritime VSAT is a high speed, two-way IP broadband ship-to-shore satellite telecommu- nications service. It has the capability to provide Email, Internet, Fax, VoIP and SIP phone service. With this platform, we are able to customise and implement suitable CCTV equipment onboard vessels so that ship owners and operators can view their floating assets live 24x7 via 3i’s remote monitoring software.
